Although it is not going to win any boutique awards due to its size, the Mandalay Hill Resort is one of the best all-round hotels in the city. Located at the foot of Mandalay Hill, the property boasts a great position and it is only a short walk from one of the most photogenic sections of the palace wall (visit the nearby north east corner at sunset and you will find out why).

Each of the 206 rooms are tastefully decorated, providing lots of space and comfort. If it’s available, we would strongly recommend upgrading to the Corner Deluxe room with its excellent views of Mandalay and surroundings.

We occasionally receive comments in regards to the hotel starting to feel outdated, but at present it’s the closest you will get to a 5-star hotel in Mandalay. We also need to take our hats off to the management team, who always remain professional and go out of the way for Tour Mandalay’s clients whenever opportunity permits.
